CO2 compensation for Digital Voting

1 of the 1st customers of Online Voting Tool was a collective around solar panels. At Online Voting Tool we work a lot at home, we travel a lot by train, our team outing this summer was supping in the beautiful nature near Loosdrecht. And because voting takes place online, people have to travel less to meeting locations. But nevertheless we also leave a "CO2 footprint", especially when using servers to make the digital voting rounds possible. Our hosting is done through Amazon Web Services, but they do have the aim to run on 100% renewable energy by 2025. 5 years earlier than originally planned, but it's not that far yet. However, we believe it is important to contribute to CO2 compensation and have therefore entered into a partnership with Trees for All. Together we plant trees, for a green and healthy world. On to CO2-neutral digital voting rounds. Trees for All plants new forests worldwide, restores degraded forests and makes people aware of the importance of trees. On the other side of the world, but also close to home.

And the collective around generating energy via solar panels? They still generate their own energy and still use Online Voting Tool for mutual decision-making. A beautiful sustainable collaboration!
