Question of the week: when a weighting factor

There are several additional options that you can use and also a weighting factor.

When does a weighting factor apply?
A weighting factor applies if one vote counts more than the other vote. For example, Glastuinbouw Nederland held its meeting online with a weighted vote. Each person entitled to vote received a unique voting code with a weighting factor.

How does a weighting factor work?
If a weighting factor applies to your vote, then you provide a list with the number of weights that each voting code should be assigned. A voting code can be linked to each weight. For example, a voting code can have a weight of 10, then this voting code counts 10 times heavier than a voting code with a weight of 1.

Each vote will have its own voting website containing the questions and answer options. Via this voting website we generate the unique voting codes and link them to the desired weighting factor. The voting codes are then exported and each voter receives the correct code with the corresponding weight. You can choose to have the invitation with voting codes and the link of the voting website sent by the Online Voting Tool. Then we ensure that the correct voting code reaches the correct voter. If you choose to distribute the voting codes yourself among those entitled to vote, you will receive a secure file containing the unique voting codes.
